Sky News: Little Big Dairy producing milk, taking control of their 'own destiny'

The Little Big Dairy process their own milk and cream, with their products being sold from Dubbo to Sydney – a move that farmer Steve Chesworth says is integral to the company “taking control” of its own destiny.

Little Big Dairy is one of only five family-based farms who process their own product in Australia.

“We feel we are taking control of our destiny and the price we sell our milk for,” Mr Chesworth told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

Although business is booming for Dubbo’s own Little Big Dairy, Mr Chesworth said many in the industry are still facing tough times.

“The dairy industry generally speaking in NSW and Queensland are still being paid production costs or less,” he said.
